Run a business and you will learn something you can’t learn any other way

That cash flow exercise at the back of a financial management textbook may be difficult, but it is not real.

Writing a report on the “7 P’s” will give you a foundation for thinking about marketing, but it will always be one dimensional and a snapshot in time.

Every successful entrepreneur needs to read, actively learn, understand theories and build a latticework of mental models.

But reading and learning theories alone will never teach you how to be an entrepreneur.

As Mark Twain said, “If you hold a cat by its tail you will learn something you can’t learn any other way”.

Run a business and you will learn something you can’t learn any other way.
